In the city of Fortaleza you can visit many outstanding beaches, at these beaches you can take rides on Brazils famous buggies, you can go horse back riding, surfing and there are possibilities to go on boat rides as well. Surfing is popular all along the coast, with plenty of good surf schools close to Fortaleza. Ceara is very familiar and popular for windsurfing and Kite surfing. Porto Das Dunas is a good place to go, the hardcore mecca is north-west of Fortaleza in places such as Jericoacoara or Areia Branca..
Ten minutes away from our house there is a beautiful tourist attraction called The Beach Park. It is known to be one of the biggest water parks in Brazil. There you can go on many creative and interesting water activities that you and your family could enjoy! There are many restaurants [Barracas] located on the beach which offers great brazilian cuisines and of course delicious seafood. Being a great tourist attraction it is also a great place to meet people or to just sit in the sun and relax.
In downtown Fortaleza there is a strip of clubs, bars, and great restaurants that stay open very late. These clubs all have the brazilian themes and brazilian dances that you can also learn and enjoy yourself. Everyone at any age parties in Brazil!
In Fortaleza there is a beach called Beira Mar, where the brazilians strut their stuff. There is a market located there so you will be able to buy souveniers at a cheap price. There are also many sports activities you can participate in and afterwards you can head to a retaurant of your choice.
If you are considering shopping, Fortaleza has a beautiful mall called Iguatimi with great stores with the latest brazilian fashions. The mall also has a movie theatre that plays english movies and an internet cafe. There also is a huge market called the Mercado Central. It is inside a big building that looks like a stadium. In these stores you can purchase clothing, shoes, cashews, Cacha, coffee, jewellery, and many more all at a VERY LOW PRICE. Next to this market there are beautiful Cathedrals that is worth looking at .For the adventurous ones there are helicopter rides in Fortaleza.
